No Signs of Deceleration

Property purchases in Spain show no signs of slowing, with British buyers leading the way.

National data has shown an influx of foreign buyers in Spain´s property market, with a total of over 53´000 homes acquired by foreigners in the first half of this year.

Looking back to Spain’s boom in 2007 with numbers of around 33´000, we can see this massive increase.

The figures published by the Spanish Notaries shows that 14% of all foreign buyers were British, followed by French and then German.

The latest growing nationalities buying here are the Irish and the Dutch, so there really is a nice mix.

Destination wise top of the list are main cities, such as Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia but the Costas are not far behind.
