Wine Tasting in Alicante

This coming Monday the 3rd June we see the return of the biggest and the best celebration of Alicante DOP wines.

 The marina port of Alicante will once again host the event with more than 25 wineries exhibiting.  Many will be presenting their new 2018 collection as well as vintages of monastrell, muscatel, garnachas, syrah  as well as some new blends.

With the back drop of the Santa Barbara Castle at Pier 14 at the Port a special atmosphere will be waiting for you to enjoy the Alicante wines with the smell of the sea and a few local delicacies, such as Sausages from Pinoso, Cheeses from La Vaqueria in Elche and Serrano Salazones.

 Entrance to the event is free but a ticket can be purchased for €7 for the wine tasting itself and this gives you 3 tastings and a souvenior glass to take home with you.  Tickets can be purchased at the box office of the event itself or online

 The event starts at 19.30 and continues until 23.00.  For convenience they have a Winetren ( wine train) that will be picking up the public in front of the Melia Alicante Hotel and will bring you to the door of the wine tasting. The train will run from 19.15 until 22.00.
